Just got my new apple battery for my 2009 13" mbp.



After i install it what should i do? reset pram/smc and let the battery die out and charge it to calibrate?

PRAM/NVRAM has nothing to do with battery/power/charging issues. Resetting it will not help. Only resetting the SMC addresses such issues, but it's not necessary to reset it unless you're having specific problems.

At most, it would be good to calibrate the battery.
The built-in batteries in the newer Mac unibody notebooks come pre-calibrated and do not require regular calibration like the removable batteries.
