It still powers up but has a lot of cosmetic damage. Screen doesn't work but it does boot.

Is it worth it?

Well i am in the UK but ebay has them here for £270 ($450ish) for the whole screen top lid assembly.

Here is a guide for how to do the reapair yourself.

Now I think you can use google as well as me to find out what you need....
Awesome. Is there a way to get it to boot to HDMI So i can just double check it works.

Yeah just plug it in to a TV and have it plugged in to a wall power socket and close the lid it should use the TV automatically in clamshell mode.

Yeah I did a similar repair, make sure you have a strong screwdriver but other than that, well worth it :)

From the images, the bent magsafe port looks the worst off imo, but for $50 (almost free) you got a fairly powerful quad core desktop if you just use clamshell mode and dont fix the screen.
