that is one huge basement! lol must be a commercial building or something, I've never seen a basement so large. Intersting way to store compac macs and imacs!

At one point, I had a number of vintage Macs set up in a museum-like setup in my parents' basement. A number of coworkers came over and were thoroughly impressed. After moving to TX to attend school, I had to unload many of them, but I still have a few machines, including two Pluses in nearly mint condition; SE; II; Quadra 650; beige G3; 512k; PowerBook 165c, 170, 540c; and also an Atari 800 and 1040st. Even at its high-point, my Mac museum wasn't nearly as exquisite as this one.

Occasionally, I'll use the Quadra and G3 to use some old programs, and the Atari 800 quite often to play old 8-bit games. I also use the Pluses as bookends and the SE, sitting on a shelf on my wall, as a clock. I know, I'm a nerd.

Here's a few of mine...

First up is the desktop of my Macintosh Classic. Then we see three of my classic Macs, my upgraded Color Classic, Macintosh Color Classic, and Macintosh 512k. Next we see a close up of my Macintosh Classic. Then we have an odd view of my messy room including two Mac Centris machines and a Macintosh IIcx. In the last pic is my 12" PowerBook G4 (867mhz), my iMac SE (450mhz), and a failed attempt to boot the Macintosh Color Classic off of a System 7.6 CD, the external CD-ROM drive is being picky. :p The Color Classic had it's motherboard upgraded with a Performa 575 motherboard and 36mb of RAM. :D hehe ;)

P.S.: That basement is AWESOME!! ;)

OK I give up now, how can you better that, awsome!!!

Yeah i've seen that before. The general consensus from the guys in the graphical industry near me think that it is fake but a bloody good one at that.

Let me know what photos you want. I have a PB100 an Apple // and many Macs if you want pictures. I have posted some in a different thread.

Here's my Mac Classic, my iMac 233, my Apple IIc (if it counts) and my Mini.

Yes, that's a silver macquarium. I repainted it to go with my G5. I us it for my koi fry. Don't freak out...I got an empty case about 15 years ago, I didn't gut a working classic!

Very Nice^^

I decided to post my entire collection (Mac and Non-Mac)

My stock 1.83 Mini. Mac OS X 10.4.8

My main PC, Dell Optiplex 333 MHz, 128 mb RAM, 6 gb HD, Windows 98.

My Other PC. I don't remember why I bought it, but it had to do with Windows 95 somehow... Dell Optiplex 200 MHz, 64 mb RAM, 2 GB HD, Windows 95.

My current laptop. Twinhead Slimnote 233 MHz, 160 mb RAM, 4 GB HD. Windows 2000.

My laptop before the one above. Would've kept using it, but the AC adaptor died. Would've cost $80 to replace it... and the one above cost $88. Obvious choice. Compaq Armada 133 MHZ, 80 RAM, 500 MB HD. Windows 98 SE.

My first laptop. It was $35, so why not? Toshiba Sattelite, 75 MHz, 8 mb RAM, 200 mb HD. Windows 3.1

My main PC for about 3 months in mid 2006. 700 MHz, 192 mb RAM, 38 GB HD, Windows 98 SE.

The one on the far left was my great grandfathers old computer. Never used it, and it's basically become my parts computer. Unknown specs.

The one smack in the middle is my old HP. My main PC from late '03 to early '06. 2.4 GHZ, 512 mb RAM, 80 GB HD. Windows XP.

The One above that is a Packard Bell. $5 at the thrift store, my first experiance with Windows 3.1 Further specs unknown.

Over to the right and below the IIc monitor is my family's first computer. Still works, but not much use for it. Epson, DOS 6.0. further specs unknown.

This is a computer my friend and I are building. (So far) 300 MHz, 128 mb RAM, 8 GB HD, Windows 98.

My collection, part 2 :)

My 2nd laptop. Bought to relace the first, but it never worked. 100 MHz, 16 mb RAM, 500 mb HD. No OS.

You can't see them, but in those two garbage bags, are my first two Computers ever. No, I'm not throwing them out, but I've run out of space. :) so into the garage they go. Detailed specs unknown, but they both have Windows 95

To the left, an HP with windows 95. 133 MHz, 24 MB RAM. 1 GB HD. To The right, an eMachines. Detailed specs unknown, 256 mb RAM, Windows XP.

Whew. It's done. I posted my macs abvoe, so thats my collection. :)

Why would you think it's fake?

My basement in an old house used to look similar (although not as 'finished',) to that. If I made just a little bit more money, then when I remodel my basement, I would do something like that with it.

Great collection! But why dont you build something with a little more UMPH so you can use more modern programs?

dmw007 has a sick Mac museum collection. I don't know his flickr but hopefully he'll see this thread..
