got robbed lost macbook pro and macbook need help picking out a unit till insurance.

I got robbed of of craigslist trying to sell the macbook black. in my incase back pack was my macbook pro. along with my tax information. errr gun point. police report now insurance.

anyways i know of a company that is going out of business and taking basically any offers

How about a great deal on a great Mac Mini?

Intel Core Duo processor with 2 Gb Ram, 120 Gb HD, Airport Extreme, Super Drive burner

and the gorgeous 24" Apple Display all for $795 (or best offer, 'natch).

If you been looking for a Mini with all the bells but not all the bucks, then this one will do you proud.
Apple keyboard and mouse is of course included as well as any cables you may need.

We'll include an APC 500 UPS battery backup unit and a set of Altec Lansing Stereo/Sub audio speaker system.
These speakers rock (seriously - not your father's computer speakers).

Won't last long at this price (but if it goes, we have 2 other Minis that might tide you over).

they also have two older mac minis that come with 20 inch apple displays

i was going to offer them 500 for the top unit with the 24 display

Even though the Marketplace Rules apply, what has you being robbed to do with what you're selling?
And do you know the company, or do you own it?
Or are in possession of computers they used to own?

    Maybe you could enlighten us?

What is all this Anger displayed against me? Just asking a question.

I owned to MacBooks a pro and my old back one.
I was simply selling one on craigslist in mi nothing to do with these forums. My insurrance is going to cover the loss; as the police report has been signed. I was simply asking for your help.

A friend of mine works for a strategy networking company that is going out of business and I was asking if sounded like a good deal that's all. Nothing to do with a marketplace on here or anything.

    This mostly:

As it wasn't in anyway highlighted or emphasized via bolded, italic or coloured letters, it sounds like you are offering these, and thus is against the Marketplace rules.

But maybe you just copied it from somewhere, but you haven't made that clear.

If so, the robbery still has nothing to do with the proper evaluation of this offer.

If it is indeed an offer made to you, be sure to check out the MM and Apple Display, to ee if they still work without a charm. You can even use the Apple Hardware Test that is stored on the gray restore DVDs that came with the Mac Mini or the one stored on the Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD.

If both devices seem to be to comply to your needs and satisfaction in regard to their functionality, it is quite a good price you have been presented with.

i would say go and take CASH with you and buy it , but when paying count slowly the money on the table and make a little break at $700 and look the seller in the eyes , then continue with smaller notes until you notice a smile in his face...works always ;)

My apologies! I copied and posted it in here to see if it's a good deal. I mean I wanted to gain vast knowledge from the users of these very helpful forums.
I mean does that display not sell for alot on eBay. And amazon alone more then 500 by itself alone. The mac mini has AppleCare that ends in two months and other mac minis are lower models. I can offer anything I am going to offerr 500.
I am buying the ipad I have 2 on store reserve just unsure of the model, I love the iMacs I had the 27 ich till the screen cracked. Then I got the pro which was stolen for me. So I want a MacBook pro but they are about to be upgraded so I'm stuck in a rut here guys. I need assistance as the iPhone is what I am working off of 24/7.
Getting ipad no matter what tho. Not sure on model but I Need more power.

That's what I was thinking. The 27" iMacs came out not too long ago, and somehow you managed to crack the screen? They're pretty durable!

I think you need a Toughbook.

now i am totally confused i thought he did want to know if this mini he could get was a good deal , we told him it was and as he said they would accept any offer i told him to pay cash and stop in between counting ...
Then he started with his imac with a broken black film
and about craiglist has stolen his pro again , did i miss another question there somewhere between the lines....

now he's talking about his meat people and some faggots who ever that is

sorry to the op , but english is not my native language , but even i can't manage to get so many spelling and grammar mistakes in a couple lines.
For me it is very confusing to get behind the meaning, if i have to guess every second word you are writing and its context , so misunderstandings are unavoidable
i live in the uk , but i am german ;)

and you wrote "I love the iMacs I had the 27 ich till the screen cracked " to me that reads like it was in perfect order when you bought it and suddenly the screen cracked , and i did interpret your words as either the glass or the lcd suddenly cracked .and i simply could not imagine that the iMacs glass would break so easy , so to assume that you've been a bit careless was only a interpretation of what you wrote
