Got the ER6i Headphones, 3 hrs later broken

    I didn't do **** to them. I tried each ear piece to see which one fit best. They never stopped working when I did that, and I never pulled on the wire EVER. Once I found the best one, I set the phones down to go do something else. Before I went to sleep last night I though about listening to some music on them. When I put them on the left earphone wouldn't work. This is such ********. It's pretty much the exact same thing that happened to the Seinnheiser CX300's that I had. I'm getting really ****ing pissed with these headphones not working. I haven't even had them for 1 day before the broke. At least with the Seinnheiser I had them for almost a month.

    I loved mine, they broke receltly after a year of daily use.

    Thing is, these are the second pair of headphones I've bought within the past 3 or 4 months and both of them have broken in the same ear. I'm beginning to think my Touch is causing it, but the headphones that came with the Touch work fine. I dunno, I'm just getting fed up. Spending so much money on headphones, I'd expect them to last more than a day, let alone a few hours.

    Your Etymotic warranty will cover this. Etymotic customer service is great to deal with and they will gladly replace them. I am on my 2nd pair of ER6i's and couldn't be happier with them. My first pair lasted 2 years and suffered a lot of abuse over that time. It could be that you just got a dud pair, which is possible with any kind of technology. Go ahead and have them replaced. If the same thing happens again, have an ear specialist look at your ear to see if there are any little gremlins in there.
