I am in U.S. on AT&T. Tethering is working, but MMS will not send. I changed my AT&T account to non-iPhone text plan. As you can see in the screen shots, I have everything I need to send MMS, but it will not send. What did I miss?

gizmodo posted two ways to do it, one way calling AT&T, and another way that involves putting your sim in a phone capable of mms and then swapping it back. the problem with this method is that when at&ts system scans it will see your iphone doing mms and re-disable it

MMS is not going to work because of at&t has not enabled it. there telling us it will be available later this summer... and as for iphone tethering.... at&t has not even released a date

I really want to know if you guys get this working....it would be awesome to get MMS right now!

I also say that that calling AT&T had make sure that you have a text package with MMS on it I don't think most AT&T agents are going to figure out that the iPhone cannot do MMS. Most of them are not the smartest people on the planet. At least the General Care Agents that I have spoken to in the past.

The problem lies with AT&T. I went through all the steps outline in several threads here. I get about 95% of the way through before it stops and fails. I called AT&T and they said they don't see any blocks that should prevent mms from working.

I can take my sim out and out it in my blackberry and mms works just fine. Put it back it my iPhone and it'll only work for a short time. Seems as if that when the iPhone is fully registered on their network, the mms gets block once again. They need to update their system to not block iPhones once they are detected on the network. Aparantly it's nothing a service representative can do for you.

So you changed the settings like I did (see pictures) and it worked for a few minutes? Did you lose Tethering along the way? I did.

I give up! Each time I enter the settings, it kills tethering. I ratter have tethering. I'll just have to wait for AT&T to get their act together.
