I'm definately in the minority here. But i don't find wishing a 1000 people dead is remotly funny. Yes, yes i know it's only a joke. Yes i know they're not good people. But wishing a 1000 people died just isn't funny.

I thought it said 1000 terrorists. I must have misread it. I agree 1000 people (you know, regulars) is not funny.

1000 terrorists is not enough.

Bingo :p

Before I begin, I understand the post is a joke, and in some ways it can be laughed at (just because it is meant to be). However, as a conscienctious objector I must say that I totally disagree with the war on Iraq and any war. Killing 1000 people isn't right. Over 2000 American's have died in this war, and many innocent Iraqi people. The war is horrible, and not a laughing matter. So no, I didn't laugh at this 'joke', even if that was the point. I am not prude, but some jokes go too far.

lol. Thats cool. I didnt get where you were going till the punch-line (but I guess thats the point isnt it :p ). Im just glad I read the whole post. :)

A terrorist, by definition, is someone who inspires terror in another. That means that playground bullies, the manager who threatens you with firing you, the American troops who break down doors in the middle of the night, the criminals, the police, the religious (christian, muslim, jewish or otherwise) extremists, the abortion clinic bombers, the neo-nazis, disease, age, the dark, spiders; anything that terrifies you is a terrorist.

Terrorism is a tactic. It is a tactic used by both fringe groups (islamic extremists), and major governments (the US-Hiroshima and Nagasaki). One cannot declare a war on "terrorism" as terrorism is a tactic, not an entity.

When you say you want 1000+ terrorists dead, you refer to everyone who has ever inspired terror in another human being- horror film makers, kids who hide and shout "boo" to unsuspecting people...you really want them all dead?

I do not want to turn this into a political discussion, I simply want to point out that you are being a little bit too broad in your declaration of death- and that maybe you should be a little more specific when you express a wish for a large group of people to die...

I'm going to take a wild guess and say he must have meant terrorist in the Bush usage... ;)

Only a tiny tiny tiny fraction of the Iraqi insurgents are thought to be affiliated with Al Quaeda. Of course, some doubt that Al Quaeda even exists as an organization in any meaningful way, but ssshhh!! that would be revealing too much about this phony war.

I know who the good guys are- they're the ones who don't torture and spread continuous meaningless propaganda- oh wait.

What's that have to do with the joke?

I'm sorry, but I laughed at this more than I did the original joke.
Yeah, I confess I totally missed it. Glad I could provide a laugh. It was 3am when i posted though, so perhaps I get some leniency.

Actually I found it funnier before I knew it was a joke.
