got win 7 on vbox, but need help

i want to install a program for windows but when i put in the disc nothing happens and i cant seem to find it in the windows control panel

i just installed windows so maybe every things not working? is there something i have to update or do?

Make sure that Virtual Box captures the optical drive and then open up the drive in file or explorer or my computer and initiate the install.

ive tried a couple different ways, and no avail

getting kind of frustrated, it also doesnt allow me to use a usb
