I just finished replacing my SuperDrive and upgrading my early 2011 13" MacBook Pro to have dual internal SSD's.
I now have a sata3 250Gb Samsung 840 SSD in the main drive bay and a sata2 180Gb Vertex2 SSD in the optical drive bay.
To test the speed, I just did a full 71Gb CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) clone to my sata2 SSD in the optical bay in less than 19 minutes.
Gotta love that quiet, super fast, and power sipping speed. One of my favorite benefits is that I can pick up the laptop and shake it without causing any data loss like from a spinning disk traditional hard drive.
What do you like about having a dual internal SSD setup? What speeds are you getting?
