I just finished replacing my SuperDrive and upgrading my early 2011 13" MacBook Pro to have dual internal SSD's.
I now have a sata3 250Gb Samsung 840 SSD in the main drive bay and a sata2 180Gb Vertex2 SSD in the optical drive bay.
To test the speed, I just did a full 71Gb CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) clone to my sata2 SSD in the optical bay in less than 19 minutes. 🙂
Gotta love that quiet, super fast, and power sipping speed. One of my favorite benefits is that I can pick up the laptop and shake it without causing any data loss like from a spinning disk traditional hard drive.
What do you like about having a dual internal SSD setup? What speeds are you getting?
