i have tried almost every thread i could found including the following :
1- Install push fixes from all repositories with all kind of compilations
2- Removed SB- Setting and Backgrounder and all applications that i can uninstall
3- Rest Network setting , All settings , Location warnings ..
4- Combination of Turning of 3G , wifi .... etc
5- Killing Locationd service and clearing the cash
6- Restarting the phone in all modes , while (3g disabled ... etc )
7- Airplane mode (got message Your location couldn’t be found)
8- left my phone up with maps on for 2 hours drive

i left my phone up with maps on for 2 hours drive and no luck
also remeber that phone locks every 5 minutes so i have to check it all the way

Simply put, your wifi antenna may be kaput. It happens. I had one refurb do that. Best bet is to either get a replacement if your in warranty, or debate whether spending $200 for an out of warranty replacement.

Sorry. I was in another thread about wifi when I typed that stupid post. Disregard.

FYI, I have the same issues as you. For some reason if I have wifi on (without being on wifi), it finds me perfectly. Once off, it sees me several hundred meters away.

Still out of luck ... any one can help ?!!

I fixed this, but deleting the locationd folder in my iPhone. You have to be jailbroke though.

Do you mean these steps
killall -9 locationd
rm -rf /var/root/Library/Caches/locationd

i have tried it but no luck :(

Yep, that. From what I've read it works for some, but not others. Kind of hit and miss. I did those steps and immediately went outside and just turned on Maps and a few seconds later it found me.

prob a silly suggestion but trying to get a gps while moving is really really hard on a mobile device, so have you tried just staying in one place for a few mins if it doesn't then get an accurate lock then I'd go warrenty route

Fixed

Thanks issue fixed after upgrading to 3.1.3 (jailbreak with spirit and unlocked ) :)
