I'd really like to find a GPS Speed alert app. Preferably one that notes what speed is on the road that you're on and alerts you if you exceed that speed by a certain amount.

I would expect that for all the bells and whistles the TomTom app has, this would be a feature.

Navigon says it offers something that sounds like that but doesn't go into details. Plus I'd rather not spend eighty bucks.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

Navigon's is good. It knows almost every road I've tried it on in Kansas City. You can set the speed alert threshhold at 5, 10, 15, or 20 mph separately for urban areas and non-urban areas.

But yeah, expensive app.

You can go the cheap route and using something like "Speed Alerts", but it doesn't know the speed limit. You just set an alert at whatever speed you don't want to exceed.

TomTom warns you on speed limits? At least the Australian version does. It makes a warning noise when you exceed the limit by 5km/h. Very handy, except where the rare occasions that it's wrong/outdated.
