GPS Tracker?

Hi all,



Not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread in, but here it goes:
I am looking for a GPS tracker that can track my trip across the US live. I will be doing a coast to coast trip and I want to share my location live with my friends and family. Also will be taking videos/pictures.
I have InstaMapper for my iPhone 3GS but I have to keep the application always open, otherwise it won't update the position.

Anybody know of a good GPS tracker that won't break the bank?
