Hello, please post your OpenMark score for your GPU here if you like.

beware that running the benchmark takes some time, therefore

DISCLAIMER

Benchmark should be run only when Computer is idling and not in productive use at the Time of Benchmark.

here some examples

NVIDIA GT 120
  • 10.7.5 - Benchmark Score ("RunBenchmark") 35228
    • 10.8.5 34877
    • 10.9.5 7189

dont know why on Mavericks the score is so low
and previous Mac OS X so much better.

Probably this benchmark wont run on newer Mac, if it does, please post your OpenCL Score.

Thanks

Remember that only results with the same resolution/color depth can be compared. It's a very basic GPU-benchmark anyway.

yes, maybe, but still am baffled at how the NVIDIA GT 120 plummeted on Mavericks, whereas the 4870 HD did not (compared to previous Mac OS X).
Feel that the Benchmark might have something in petto even in modern times.

Here's the wiki thread that lists nearly every PowerPC GPU's OpenMark score: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/some-ppc-openmark-benchmarks.1848060/
This also shows the weaknesses of OpenMark, which puts out "fake positive" results, i. e. 6139 for the GeForce 6200, making it look superior to much stronger cards like the Radeon 9600 XT.

Looking for a more realistic values, the different versions of OpenGL Extensions Viewer could be an option. The only app of this kind, delivering even worse output for GPU-performance might be X-Bench.

the geforce 6200 have no experience with, if remember correctly.
but the 9600xt is a nice card, capable, yet so silent<
certainly this benchmark is not perfect, but small, and beautiful to my eyes *even if it cumbersome to run the benchmark as it takes quite some time.

alright, if it factors in/weighs in heavily on CPU, then itt is probably not the best.
in luxmark, only GPU can be selected.

x/bench after 10.6.8 needs to deselect the thread/testing, otherwise it would stall.

the geforce 6200 have no experience with,...
The 6200 - as a 64bit card - should be very close if not behind a 5200 Ultra. In older versions of OpenGL the Ultra should be even better. The only real advantage over the 5200 is it's shader 3 support, so true core image hardware accelleration. But a result of nearly 70% of the Radeon 9800 Pro is very far from reality.

The 5200 is “unimpressive”. No Core Image for one thing and weak TMDS transmitters, so high resolutions over DVI are problematic (this doesn't apply to those shipped in G5s: those have external TMDS transmitters).

tried the OpenGL Extensions Viewer app (on Windows) ,
run the benchmark, here is result.
(probably on MacOS it is not so easy to install, would need through App Store?)
