Any idea how significant the upgrade is from the AMD 560 vs 580?

I am guessing not much difference at all. Any benchmarks out there?
clearly the CPU is a big upgrade but the GPU doesn't seem to offer much. Hopefully next year? Either AMD delivers or maybe they go back to Nvidia

I do not expect any noticeable performance increase. The big question is how much heat the new 6-core cpu will generate as it shares a heatsink with the GPU. If the CPU generates more heat we will likely see the new GPU performe worse then the current due to throttling.

Unfortunately the graphical performance will remain unacceptable since the X series is just a rebadge, at least for RX cards, but may be different for the Radeon Pro cards. Apple seems to understand that this is an issue, last year with the essentially rebadged 400 series, they moved the GPUs down the line and this year they are making 4GB the standard amount of RAM on all cards.

It'll be interesting to see whether the 2018 iMacs will use these rebadged cards or not, seeing as a Polaris refresh is round the corner.

Really, a Polaris refresh this year? Any link?
EDIT: All I can find are some leaks and rumours for the 500X which as we know is only a rebadge with no improvements at all... even a slightly higher clock rate would be welcome. I think we might see 6-8gb on the low and mid range 27 like they did for the MBP today.

Yeah even AMD admits the 500X is just a rebadge to essentially make consumers believe it is new. But what I am referring to is Polaris 30, which is expected in Q4. As for vRAM, we'll definitely see an increase. There's always a chance that they'll go with custom Vega parts for the 27" but the 500X cards are definitely a possibility. Like most (I assume), I just wish they'd switch back to Nvidia.

Just download new ones? Or is this special case.

Sad if AMD don’t bother releasing public ones for these.

No u cant amd only have apple bootcamp drivers which are old the latest radion driver dont work and amd dont update bootcamp so your a year old in drivers term

1060 GTX Max Q Nvidia GPU in the 2018 and I would've already deducted $3000+ off my credit card. Even willing to take the risk with a mother bum keyboard. With the same essential GPU as 2016? No chance
