So constant GPU failures are driving me insane. This will be the third time my GPU failed in someway or another. First time it failed was 2 weeks after I purchased my Macbook Pro back in the summer of 2007, the second time is when the screen would not power up even with an external monitor connected and now is a repeat of the second failure.

Anyone have any problems where their MBP's screen would not power on even with an external monitor connected? I can hear the sounds of the computer working fine just the screen won't power up.

call AppleCare. Get that computer exchanged for a new unibody MBP.

That would be nice, but I have no idea about how to do that. I admit the frequent applecare repairs are starting to take it's toll on me, school wise and job wise.

3 cases with the same problem should qualify you for a replacement laptop.
