I wasn't, hence my query to you.

And your second link doesn't have the 6830 listed, but shows the 6850 as 39W and the 6570 as 30W. Your second link actually seems to support wikipedia.

So please explain to me how my second link supports wikipedia. I'd love to hear it. I removed the link because it doesn't list the 6830M but it still supports what I've been saying and I'll prove it to you.

5830 - 24W
5850 - 39W
5870 - 50W

6830 - 24W
6850 - 39W
6870 - 50W

The 5770 also happens to be a higher TDP than the 5830 completely demolishing your other argument even more. I could edit your Wikipedia 'evidence' to say the correct wattage if you wanted me to right now. The top of the Wikipedia article lists "This article is outdated" and "This article needs additional citations for verification" in bold lettering. That says enough for your argument.

The link you removed exactly matches what wikipedia says. Take a chill pill bro. I never really had an argument. I just wanted to know your source.

i checked 24W and its seems right. notebookcheck said it is about the perf of a 5830 which imo smokes the 525m. the 6830 can run crysis fluently at high settings while the 525m struggles to get past 30fps. the wiki might not be 100% correct as it doesn't have all the values for the tdp. this yr, its either the MBP or an evny 15 as the 14" is getting discontinued.can't wait. I hope apple realiuzes how crappy the nvidia cards are now for perf/watt and pick amd this time around as they have been going w/ AMD for their desktops (iMac and Mac Pro).

I suppose Intel is also forcing ram slots on us too. Apple only recently decided to fill these with 4GB's standard anyways.

The is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for Apples lack of a dedicated GPU in the 13". Apple continues to make the 13" overpriced and undesirable to potential switchers. Why? Greed!

Thermal issues can be cleared by clocking the GPU to a reasonable level. Even underclocked, the user would be able to take advantage of simple things like core's & shader's.

Its insane that (Aside from OSX and trackpad) They let the 1.5 year old Sony Z still slaughter them spec wise. Hell, the Z even has a 1080p screen! I don't need a 10+ hour battery Apple! Heres another news flash, most professionals using their MBP's for intensive work use the charger anyways.

Seriously, there is absolutely ZERO point to this new refresh. Unless we find some big surprises on CTO, or you want lightpeak REAL early, what would you do on the 13" MBP that would actually take advantage of the CPU bump? Video conversion? Still not worth the scratch IMO.

The MBP 13" is a consumer machine. Deal with it.

If need high resolution screens and discrete graphics then get a 15" inch or 17" model.

I actually do think there's a good chance we see ATi graphics (whoo), but 6830 might be a little wishful thinking. It's based on Broadway, which was a bit of a bigger card, even if the TDP was low. Besides, Apple always disappoints with graphics...

Still, it's nice to dream. The 6830 really is the sweetest card out there on a heat/performance ratio.

330M - 23W
525M - 23W
6830M - 24W

It's not too hot in the slightest.

I'm somehow skeptical; I know that the desktop 6850 is barely able to only use one 6-pin connector, I know that AMD's laptop GPU branding works a little bit differently, but that differently?

According to Cnet the 15/17 will get AMD (ATI) !

6490M! I hope it's undeniably superior to the GeForce GT 330M, if that's, what we're looking forward to.
