iPod touch Grabbing Apps From iTunes

I want to buy an iPod Touch, but im unsure if you can download and install any free Applications from iTunes or other sources.

Please enlighten me

Some are free and some are not. Yes you'll need an iTunes account.

Install the latest version of iTunes, then you can go browse the App store and get a sense of what is available.
