Hey everybody, using my new macbook for a few days, the fonts seem not as sharp, or even grainy in some cases. They look different then my old macbook for some reason. I'm learning to live with this, but does anybody else have a similar problem?

Are you sure you aren't zoomed in?

Check Universal Access or Ctrl + Scroll.
Yeah, I made sure. It's not everywhere either, it seems to be worst in dialogue boxes where I notice it, but as I type this, it doesn't look quite right as well.

You might want to check font smoothing under the Appearance preference pane.

I'm out of ideas after that.

Thanks, but both things didn't help.

I don't know whats wrong...Images look perfectly fine, and this is a fresh install of OS X. Anybody with a new c2d macbook have the same issue?

Edit: I'm not sure if grainy is the best way to describe it...and I'm not sure how to. The best I can do is give an example, like the circles that act as your password while typing it don't seem perfectly round, and when I zoom in on it, the pixels on the top of the circles look flatter then those on the bottom.
