Hi all. Im having this problem for a few days now, once i start recording on 4k 60 fps (and the slow mo modes) i get very noisy video, which did not happen before (maybe it was caused by the last update (?)). The rest of the video and photo modes work fine, so i assume it may be a software thing. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you filming in lowish light conditions? I’ve found 4k60 is more grainy in lower light, presumably as the camera has to open shutter quicker due to the 60fps and cant let as much light in

Yeah try lowering your framerate to 30 or 24.

Yeah the noise is mainly in low light conditions, but i swear i had less noise in 4k 60 fps before than in 4k 30/24fps. Now i have so much more grain and noise that it makes the videos unusable, so i was wondering if something happened after the last update.

This difference is easily noticeable watching the videos on a bigger screen.

Yeah it can look bad on bigger screens, I also found the wide angle lens in video can look hideous in low light, like unwatchable. Something I hope improves in iPhone 12

Agreed. I only find the ultra wide usable in very good light conditions. The recordings at 24/30 fps with the main lens in low light conditions are okey even in big screens, it is the 4k 60 fps mode that i have a problem with. Otherwise daylight recordings look stunning in any mode and screen of any size.
