I had hoped one of the many people there taking pictures and/or video were MR members, as the few low-quality camphone pics I took are rather pathetic.
Overall, there was a lot of enthusiasm on the part of the employees - cheering for people as they entered, clapping, etc.
It took a fair amount of time to go through the t-shirts, and once gone, the long line "mysteriously" vanished. Of course, with so many Apple Stores in the Boston area
, most people were there only for the shirts. 
People who weren't there just for the shirts undoubtedly went later after the crowds died down.
