GrandFathering Unlimited data plan with new iPhone

Anyone have solid info on this, Some say yes and other say no. I want the upcoming iPhone but I don't want to let go of my Unlimited data plan.

I just got off the phone with a att csr and he told me that if you get the new iphone, you can keep your unlimited plan. You just sign for a new 2 yr commitment, not a new 2yr contract.

Sounds good to me, don't care much about tethering. My job just gave me a new evo today for work with the mobile hot spot setup.
