I have this problem with my iPhone 7 (on iOS 10.1.1 - 14B150) whenever I restart or reboot my phone (Holding down the power button and the volume down button) I see some graphical glitch (sometimes). Is this a common problem on iOS 10.1.1? Can it be fixed by restoring my phone?

How does it negatively affect your experience? What other issues or problems is it causing?

It only glitches when I restart my phone. Not when I'm using it normally tho. And one more thing. I know I'm being ridiculous so please bear with me here, but I tend to test my phone alot. I try to swipe the control center up and down as fast as I can and sometimes it shows half of the controling center. And I have to swipe it down and up again. (Maybe beacuse i was swiping too fast?)

This is not really a problem.
Really??? I don't know much about software issue. And I honestly thought that there was something wrong with my phone or maybe I needed to restore my phone again. (I did a complete restore iPhone and set it up as new when I first got the phone)

It's a minor bug (and a known one). Your phone is fine.

Your name isn't Alex, is it?

When I shut down my office computer at the end of the day the screen flickers before going to sleep but it does not mean there is a problem.

Swiping up and down as fast as you can until you see a problem is . . . . .

Happy Thanksgiving!:apple:

Oh, please... not this **** again.

It might not be causing a negative experience now, but it could definitely be a sign of something else failing. That's clearly not good.

Please leave the thread if you have nothing useful to contribute.

OP, I don't notice any graphic issues like this. I'm running an iPhone 6 on iOS 10.1.1. If it keeps happening, definitely take it to an Apple store if it's within a reasonable distance, or contact Apple Support online.

Might not be. OP is simply wondering if this is normal. This happened to me in the latest betas.

Thanks for that information. I understand the OP is worried about his/her phone. I am trying to explain that it is not a sign that the phone is getting ready to die but then in these forums everyone is jumping down everyone's throat for the slightest thing. I even understand this as this is MacRumors!

Hope you have a great holiday, too!

I will continue to use and test my phone. So far so good, i just have that glitch when I do a hard reset on my phone. Beside that no glitch whatsoever during everyday use... I'll still keep an eye on it tho. Thanks for your advice.

Yes, I too experience this on my 7 Plus. I put it down to a software glitch due to the change in how we now have to do a force restart (previous models used Home and Power buttons, whilst 7 models use Volume Down and Power Buttons).

Which processor model do you have ~ Intel or Qualcomm?

I got the LL/A model (A1661) so I think it's Qualcomm right?

You're not in a position tell others to leave this thread. Everyone's opinion matters. Try exercising decorum and some respect. It might be good for you.

Back on topic: The OP's issue doesn't appear to be a concern. None the less, it's still a good question.

Happens to my 7 and SE. Seems to be from iOS 10. Doesn't affect either phone, so I don't sweat it.
Ultimately this kind of answer was really the only thing that was needed in this thread without much of anything else.

Enough with the bickering, please remain civil and discuss the topic

The glitch is to hard reset (force the device to restart) a phone when not necessary.
