Graphics card compatibility

I am once again getting a new (to me) power mac g5 tomorrow and it's the quad 2.5. From what I understand the buyer says he heard it boot up but the display doesn't work. I have a radeon 9650 in my dual 2.0 power mac g5 and was wondering if this card would work on the 2.5 quad.

I believe I made a thread a while ago asking a similar question, pertaining to the many graphics cards for the G5. You should look at that.

Quad has pci-e expansion slots while 9650 is an agp card, so they are even physically incompatible.

So I'm outta luck with that card, damn I hope it's a simple fix with the current card.

Card is finished and the machine needs a big cleaning. I can only use the screen in safe mode.

Bake it. 6600 can be resurrected that same way as 8800GT. You have nothing to lose. If it will work, it'll allow you to use the computer until you buy new card.
