Hello, just a quick question that I should be able to answer but not sure about. I purchased the dual 2.0 G5 when it came out about a year ago and added on the nicer graphics card (I think it was a $50 upgrade). I remember it being 128mb, rather than the 64mb card it came with standard. I never worried about the graphics card, and never checked to see what I had, stupid of me yeah, but have never had a problem because I'm mostly doing work in photoshop. My brother is trying to get me playing Warcraft, so I was checking out my system profiler last night and I think it says I have a 64mb card. So now I'm not sure what I have in here and I'm wondering, did Apple rip me for $50 bucks? And is there anything I can do about it now? I guess I should've checked it right when I got it. Thanks for any help/advice. Am I reading the System Profiler right? It says:

If this is a ATI 9800, they came with a 64 MB version and a Pro 128 MB version. Hope you kept your slip that had the information on your computer when you purchased it. You might have at the time upgraded from a Geforce card to the ATI card which I could see as a $50 upgrade, and I believe back then there was a $100 upgrade to go to the 128 MB card from 64 on the 9800 then. You just might not have read what you pruchased hard enough.

On my invoice from Apple it says, "ATI Radeon 9600 Pro". Was that a $50 upgrade in November 2003 when I bought it? I'm getting confused as to what I have vs. what I bought. Maybe it's the same, I dunno...

All you have to do is to go to the Apple Store. You will see that the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro is a $50 upgrade over the standard NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra w/64MB DDR SDRAM. You got what you paid for. You paid for what you ordered.

There is a significant difference in the letter V here:

RV350 >> that denotes the 9600-series core

R350 or R360 >> would denote the 9800-based core, the latter being the 9800XT core.
