Help needed please

I have a powermac Dual 2GHz powerpc G5, memory 3.5 GB DDR2 SDRAM,
Running Leopard 10.5.8.
I want to upgrade the graphics card which is a `NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE`

Chipset Model: GeForce 6600LE
Type: Display
Bus: PCIe
Slot: SLOT-1
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 128 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x0142
Revision ID: 0x00a4
ROM Revision: 2149

So I bought one off ebay a Nvidia GeForce 7800Gt 256MB PCIe.
Which I thought was an upgrade option for this model.
Simple enough to install but when booted up my monitor screen shows a box saying `no video input`

Have I bought the wrong card, can I get this card to work in my G5?

Regards Rob.

Did you get the Mac version of the video card? if you did not that is why it is not working:( You may be able to flash the card with a pc to make it work with a mac.

graphics card

Ahh looks like I have bought a pc card, I`m thinking that flashing it is a little beyond my skill level.

nvidia Quadro fx4500

Well I have changed the 7800GT card for a Mac Nvidia Quadro fx4500 256MB PCIe card.

It came with a power cable, so before I even open the case do I need to connect the power cable and to were.
The old 6600le doesn`t have a power cable, just connects through the PCIe slot.

The power cable needs to be connected that came with your video card as the PCIe slot does not have anuff power by its self for the card. Sadly i never had this video card so i have no idea wear the power cable goes:( i did see a photo of a G5 Quad with this card once and i think it connected some ware on the motherboard under the Hard drive bay but i am not sure:(

It plugs in where I circled in red.
