I passed my old Powermac on to my son when I upgraded to a MacPro and all has gone well until now. I bought him a copy of Final Cut Pro Express 4 having checked the processor speed was up to scratch. However during install a problem has come up regarding the graphics card (we have the standard card that came with the computer). The error message states that the software might not run properly as there is no Open GL.

How important is this for using FCE4? Can we scrape by for a few months or do we need to replace the AGP graphics card?

Can anyone advise on which other graphics cards could be used to improve the situation? Don't want to spend a lot of money as we'll replace this machine next year.

I've tried searching for upgrade information but have so far not found the kind of detail I'm looking for to allow me to identify a replacement graphics card.
