Just a really basic question, on the 2011 macbooks pros would i notice a difference in the presentation of safari between a 13" macbook pro with no AMD card to a 15" version that has it or is the AMD just better for games?

I mostly only use my laptops for internet you see so wandering if the 15" is worth the extra 500 quid?

You won't notice a difference in Safari between any Mac made in the last 5 years, regardless of graphics card.

I mean like the resolution and colours etc on the screen rather than the layout and font but i think your probably right lol

The 13-inch MacBook Pro has a resolution of 1280x800 whereas the 15-inch MacBook Pro has a standard resolution of 1440x900 (and a higher resolution display of 1680x1050 is available on built-to-order models).

That means that you'll have more screen space to work with on the 15-inch MacBook Pro and likely won't have to scroll as much, but that's all subjective to the web pages that you're viewing and the other tasks that you're performing.

A better graphics card will not make your web browsing any better. I would consider $1800 a waste for a computer that you only surf the internet on.

Resolution and colours depend on the display, not the graphics card.

    This.

And the display makes all the difference. Which there isn't particularly.

Since you're mainly a web browser, you may like the additional portability of the 13" anyway. The 15" won't really be beneficial and that money's better off somewhere else :) (Start a piggy bank for your next Mac 4 years down the road maybe?)
