So, I work as a photographer / videographer and do some editing on my phone during weddings to give the couple a short preview etc.
I also play some Madden NFL with some pals.
Now, I had an iphone 7 that ran smoothly but after a month's use, the gfx noticeably decreased.
There was obvious screen / frames 'lag' and lower texture quality. Kinda like playing on an old CRT with a low refresh rate. Whereas before it worked perfectly fine, nice textures and smooth movements.
Returned the phone and am awaiting response.
In the meantime I'm on an older 5s. Also working on it a bit, making it work for it's moneys worth; but as well as the 7 after some extended usage it ALSO started to have that exact same problem. Now I notice the phone gets hot almost immediately and there seems another permanent gfx decrease / damage.
The 7 also got too hot too fast when the problem became apparent. Hmmmz.
Question -> is it possible these phones get too hot and start frying or something similar that may cause damage.
I'm not sure what it is, but I've used my 5s for a looong time without these problems, granted I never used it for gaming nor editing or anything like that, so it hadn't seen this type of use but only for the past week(s).
And once it saw heavy use and got hot a lot because of it -> very bad performance change.
The iphone 7 saw daily 'heavy use' mostly playing Madden since wedding season is over atm, after a month's use -> also got a very noticeable decrease in performance (permanently).
When cold it works decent but seems to heat up quite fast and while hot performance gets pretty bad.
Yes, I did try everything imaginable software wise and nothing fixes the problem.
All types of resets, firmwares, etc.
Opinions?
