Graphics issues

I have a FW800 PM with a (presumably flashed) 9700 pro. The card has worked flawlessly for over a year; a few days ago artifacts have been appearing on the screen.

Any explanations other than a fried card? 🙁

sounds like a card on the way out, but to check i would;

1. re-seat the card. agp connectors are known for getting weird over time.

2. check to see that the cooling fan is running, and heatsink is secure. heat can cause the same artifacts. if it happens from cold/boot, then hope the re-seat fixes it...

Check out the ATi overclock util to see of it was overclocked.
If it was, maybe setting it back to its original values will help.
