Alright guys, so this ones annoying:
I did some searched on the forum, but I'm not really sure if I am searching for the correct thing so I really apologize if this is repetitive in anyway. So, I have a macbook pro i7 15". I recently discussed on the forums about the Intel SSD, and went ahead and purchased one. I've installed it and everything is running great, although I am uncertain if this issue relates to the SSD in anyway. So what has happened is I plugged in the 23" LED display into the pro, and it dual displayed fine. But when I unplugged it, the resolution on the macbook pro became extremely distorted and hazy, to the point where I could only see the mouse, but barely. Everything else was grey/blue pixelated. The only way to get the display back on was to hold the power button down, reconnect the display, and turn it back on. Then it worked just fine. I swapped back to my old HD just to see if it was the SSD or any issue with it, but I got the same problem. So after freaking out for 20 minutes, I figured that the graphics cards were switching for some reason. So, with the second monitor hooked up, I powered the pro back on, went into energy preferences and disabled automatic graphics switching. Then I rebooted the machine and it was working, but this time there was another problem. Now, somehow the macbook thought there was a second display, so my mouse could wonder off the screen. Even when I went into display preferences, and clicked detect displays, it would show me a second display. So by turning on automatic graphics switching back on, it started working just fine. My concern is that it just happens all over again if I plug in my display. Any thoughts or clues if this is a hardware issue or something is wrong with my machine in particular?
My second issue is: Im noticing that for some reason lately, everything my computer swaps only from the nVidea graphics card to the intel one, my display goes blank for a quick second. It doesn't do that vice versa. Any thoughts on this?
Sorry this is so long, thank you guys for your help so much!
