Never mind. I'll move myself along. You all keep measuring your placebo.
No, he's right, on the main website, it clearly states "CINEBENCH is the perfect tool to compare CPU and graphics performance across various systems and platforms (Windows and Mac OS X). And best of all: It's completely free."

do you have all the gpu acceleration enabled in chrome://flagsno it isn't. test http://ebay.com/new in chrome. then test it in safari. HUGE difference in speed (re: chrome is still REALLY slow)
I don't think it matters. The website above (ebay) lags also on my PC (i5 4.8GHZ [Overclocked], 8GB RAM, 460GTX).do you have all the gpu acceleration enabled in chrome://flags

Yup, did this way back when it was first retina ready. After months of going back and forth, I can confidently say that Chrome with GPU acceleration enabled is definitely faster than Safari. After enabling this Chrome just flies! Thanks a lot!

first of all, not even possible. gpu acceleration isnt actually enabled regardless of whether you toggle it in flags or not.
easy test: http://ebay.com/new on chrome vs safari. safari is clearly WAY faster.
GPU compositing on all pages
Uses GPU accelerated compositing on all pages, not just those that include GPU-accelerated layers.
GPU Accelerated SVG Filters
Use the GPU to accelerate rendering of SVG filters.
Per-tile Painting
