Gray screen/Shuts Down

MacBook Pro froze, I held down power to shut off.
Now when turn it on I get a gray screen with Apple logo spinning & shuts right off.

We're gonna need more info before we can help you. What year and screen size? Have you upgraded anything?

Could be a hard drive death.

Could be a 2011 MBP with GPU problems, water spillage, failing hard drive, malicious software install, .......... all wild guesses seeing as the OP provided such little info.
