Some people think they don't like 1980s music? Tsk.

1980s albums that everyone should have

Let's go.

Talking Heads
Remain In Light

Brian Eno, David Byrne, The Heads nick some Fela Kuti, add tapes and treatments for the city. Crazy nervous afro-electro-geek-chant-funk starry summer nights, hot tub and friends. Tequila, limes, cigarette papers. Or maybe in a car going someplace together. Behind the wheel of a large automobile.

For the rockers in you:
Metallica - & Justice for All
Bon Jovi - (forgot the album with: 99 in the shade; recorded in 88 release in 1990/91 still has 80's flava)
WhiteSnake - WhiteSnake.
Def Leppard - hysteria (yes they suck; drummer is incredible)
Kiss - the album with the makeup off just because they did and Stanley stopped swinging like a girlie man.

Sorry if these are 90/91/92 albums; high schools where such a blur and wasted time listening to these to get girls.

Oh and the original band members hat produced "sleep now in the fire" gets honorable mention.

Can't believe anyone mentioned this:
AC/DC - Back in Black

Some other good ones:
Seventeen Seconds - The Cure
Pornography - The Cure
Joshua Tree - U2
Appetite for Destruction - GNR
The Final Cut - Pink Floyd

Excellent taste in music.

I actually prefer Blizzard of Ozz and Bark at the Moon. But this one is still good.
I like those too. I couldn't really choose a favorite out of them. I have them all.

There's too many to choose from, here's a selected list:
Anthrax - Among The Living
Slayer - South Of Heaven
Nitzer Ebb - That Total Age
Pop Will Eat Itself - This Is The Hour, This Is The Day... This Is This!
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
The Wonder Stuff - Hup
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Minor Threat - Out Of Step
Rollins Band - Hard Volume
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Ministry - Land Of Rape & HoneyDead Kennedys - Frankenchrist
Nomeansno - Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed
DOA - War on 45
Descendents _ Milo Goes To College
Kraftwerk - Computer World
Big Black - Atomizer
Killing Joke - Killing Joke

Released in the 80's, but I didn't get into their music until the 90's. This is one of my favorites.

Already see some of my favorites shown.

I'll add two more to the list.

Fleetwood Mac, Rumors:

Okay, Rumors is a little before 1980, but Fleetwood Mac was a popular band through most of the 80's and I like this album cover. :)
