Well this was inevitable...as if we aren't bombarded with enough ads within a day...
Just use adblocker everywhere you can and don't use this app.
I am using ad blockers, Crystal. I had been using the app from time to time before just to see how it compares to Flipboard, and this is the first I've seen of ads. To bad ad blockers don't work within apps other than Safari.
I like Flipboard more.
For in app ads, use WeBlock.
I don't know if it works well or not. It is made for Wi-fi only.
It is a charm, yes, it only works on wifi but it is awesome.
I also like Flipboard more. Apple News has a good ways to go if they want to catch up to Flipboard. Heck Apple Maps is still playing catchup and that's been since iOS 6.
Is WeBlock working on IOS 9? Some reviews say it isn't.
Mine continue to work.
isn't weblock a proxy, i.e. all your browsing goes through someone else's computer? that freaks me out a little...
It's local. I wouldn't use nor recommend if it was thru someone else's computer.
If you believe some of the theories, one of the reasons Apple allowed content blockers was so they could push people to advertise in News app that wouldn't be blocked. Paranoid? Cynical? On to something? Guess we can make our own decision. It wouldn't entirely shock me if true though.
Punctuation is so important. From the title I thought you meant there were great ads showing up...which sounded a little peculiar.
Which ads are the great ones? Is there a way to tell the normal ads from the great ones?
Let's eat grandma!
That's one of my all time favorites!
