So I broke down and purchased an 64GB Air 2 on Amazon. With a 75 dollar gift card it brought the total down to $460. So the price was $540 before the gift card was applied. It's funny how the prices fluctuate on Amazon.

Save yourself even more money by buying used.

Lightly used, same great taste!

Where could I get a used 64GB iPad Air 2 for $460?? Nowhere. And the only "used" iPad I would buy would be a refurb from Apple. Used on Craigslist or eBay... forget it.

$60 discount isn't great but isn't bad. The iPad Air 2 was $100 off all models as early as the first Black Friday after launch.

I really don't think we will see anything better than the current $100 discounts, especially with no Air 3 being released. I still can't decide between the Air 2 and the new iPad pro though.

Wow, my deal is still better. That makes me happy. However, I am going to kick myself hard IF an Air 3 comes out before the year is out.

Right on Amazon ($440). You could have used the gift card, too.

You keep saying "your deal" was better. But you act like that $75 isn't actually money. So, no, a $540 64gb isn't really a "deal". They are on sale at Target right now for $524. If you use your redcard it brings it down to $500 even. That is kind of a deal, but still not the best one I have seen.

Yeah - it was "my deal" because I had a gift card that took down the sale price to $460. Do you have a link to the $440 64GB iPad Air 2 on Amazon?

Staples currently has them for $100 off.

Technically you could've used $75 to buy a Staples gift card from Amazon, and then get the cheaper price from Staples. http://www.amazon.com/Staples-Gift-Card/dp/B00GOLH2S2

Then add your state's tax (California is plus an additional $50) and you're right back up at regular price. I just received one off of eBay for $515, no tax, last week. Of course then you need to be careful who you're buying from.

If you really want to save money and have a Discover card, starting tomorrow you can add Discover card to Apple Pay and use Apple Pay at Staples (in store only) to get additional 10% Discover cash back. For those who signed up for double cash back, you'll end up getting 20% cash back.
