great experience with applecare today

crazy. i entered the serial # on the applecare eligibility site and it says i can purchase it for my new imac. i feel like im getting away with highway robbery here!

Apart from those who look at the Apple website! In actual fact, these so-called third party repairers are approved by Apple and, to all intents and purposes, are an offshoot of Apple, issuing Apple Warranty to all work carried out.

As an afterthought, John Lewis don't sell high-end audio equipment.

Depends on your standards I suppose, it was high enough for my purposes. I will trust JL to see my right if things go wrong, if you want to pay the extra for AppleCare that's your prerogative.
