TheBart – you're saying that adjusting this key apparently has no effect in macOS 26.1?
As stated a few times in this thread, the terminal commands, TinkerTool, and any other apps out there that offer this feature to turn off Liquid Glass will cease to work in macOS 26.1 upon its release. This is because all of these apps, and the terminal commands behind them are simply turning off/on a system flag which Apple left in Tahoe's initial release, but is removing in the next release.

That's not to say that in the future somebody might figure out another way to turn off Liquid Glass, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Right, right. I'd originally posted my comment as its own thread which was subsequently merged into this one by moderation, under the impression the Terminal command was just discovered that morning, and – additionally judging by the title of this one, and having read it when it was younger – didn't note it had been discussed. So thank you for catching me up. ^ ^

Anyway, that's whatever sort of shame it remains. I suppose it's mainly up to feedback and patience, those twin divine metaphorical figures.
