I know I'll probably be the exception but my 6s is faster and smoother with IOS 11. I'm not a person who usually has big performance issues but it usually takes a day for things to smooth down. I've had it on my phone for a couple of hours but it seems noticeably faster and smoother.
I'm sure not the case for all but so far that aspect seems great.
There are things I don't like - Large Fonts on top of pages and the ICONS which I really don't care about but don't like. I didn't like the new apps bar on iMessage but found how to get rid of them all - go to far right where ... is - select ... and it allows you to edit and get rid of them

So far good

Same for me, phone is running as well as it was on 10.3.3

No lag, stable, none of the app has crashed so far. One thing that is worse is that 3D touch is sometimes laggy.

Actually I don't think it's the exception

Seems to be the norm. Online look at video comparisons of iOS 10 vs 11 and even iOS 9 vs 11 on the 6s.

iOS 11 is just as fast at loading apps if not faster due to the animations. Things load quickly.

A9 showing its longevity. That chip is still a champ today.

The only downfall is iOS 11 removing some of the best 3D touch features. But I digress.

Fwiw iOS 11 GM runs great on A8 and A7 iphones too.

I've been running 11 on my 6s since beta 2. Few issues along the way and none since GM. Put it on my wife's 6s and iPad 4 today and both are humming along fine!

Glad to hear it after reading so many mixed reviews.

I'll be updating my 6s later. iOS 10 is so fast and smooth on my device, and I'm hoping 11 is too.

I've updated my 6s and after the classical initial slow-down due to installation scripts, re-indexing etc., my iPhone runs much faster - opening apps, Safari, various stock apps. Really happy so far!

I saw initial improvements with in 15-20min after installing official iOS 11 for the first time on iPhone 6s Plus and 2017 ipad 9.7.

And after 2 hours, both devices were performing even better.

I’m also seeing a tad tiny better battery life? More time will tell if it’s not a placebo effect.

3D Touch animations are Jerky. Why would this change between versions is beyond me.

iPhone 6s Plus here. Very smooth, no lag and I’m not seeing any 3D Touch lag.

I use to experience 3D Touch lag way back in ios9 I think, and then as updates rolled out it got a lot smoother.

Would you suggest me to update to iOS11 or to stay on 10.3.3 for as long as I use my 6S?

I own a 6S and have held off downloading so far as my phone currently is pretty fast with no issues. Do I dare update????

I can't update my Apple Watch until I do but don't want to end up with a stuttering mess. Any iPhone 6S users having any significant issues???

Using the GM I had a lot of issues, redoing from new using the iPsw less so. It’s still laggy a bit, battery seems ok but not as good. However early days . If you plan on trying it I’d do it soon so you can downgrade if you don’t like it before they stop signing 10.3.3 I also upgraded my watch series 2 having really noticed anything different on that

Cheers. I have been trying it out on my iPad but it’s brand new so I had no worries before updating. I’ve only had my 6S for a year and didn’t want to be faced with the last 12 months of my contract with a laggy phone. Maybe i’ll wait until the next patch update when a few of the bugs have been ironed out first. Otherwise i’ll be storming into the Apple store asking them to sort it out lol.

My 6s is also perfomning beautifuly with ios11. It certainly feels smoother than ios10 in every sence except so minir lag when engaging in 3D touch features. The removal of 3d touch multitask is a crime but I was happy to read a few hours ago that it will eventually return in a future ios11 update.

All in all i am mighty impressed. I have been running since beta 1 and the gm is just wonderful. This phone doesnt feel 2 years old i swear! I am a huge performance and framerate sensitive guy and i want everything to feel smooth and snappy and ios 11 truly feels even better than ios 10. To give an example scrolling through my messages in ios 10 was laggy but in ios 11 its buttery smooth.

Frankly i dont get all the negative talk about it, not that i am trying to say people dont know what they are talking about, but i have been using ios in beta for like 1 and half month and i really have a very good experience. Phone feels fresh.

All i need is 3d touch multitask... and i am set.

You won't like it if you use 3dt as not only is the app switcher gesture gone but the 3dt menu has frame drops every time you use it.

I like it on my 6s also. I’d like to upgrade to a 7 or 8 sometime but the 6s is working so well I don’t see the need yet.
