Great wireless On line Networking Guides requested

Hello,

I'm trying to set up a wireless router, so instead of bugging everyone with endless questions I was hoping to find a decent online guide/links.

Please share any links that you think will help a wireless noob.

Thanks.
OG

Well in order for anyone to help you we need more information:

1. What wireless router is it? Every manufacturer has their own ways of doing things so 1 generic tutorial won't really help you much.

2. Does your ISP require any specifics? (Ex. DSL ISP requires PPPoe username/password?) Static IP Address?

3. What exactly do you want to do with it?

Its actually easier if you bug us with questions. Thats the purpose of a forum, for others to help people in need. If someone doesn't want to help then they should either not respond and/or not participate in a forum.

Well, I appreciate your generous spirit.

The router is a D- link WBR 1310
I have cable internet
I have a mac mini (no airport card)
I am running Tiger 10.4.8
I currently have a Linksys BEFSR41

I am trying to get ready for Christmas- I bought a Nintendo Wii for my daughter.
I want things ready to roll in advance.

Any information regarding OSX system prefs needing attention would also be nice.

I will search the forum for relevant information.

Thanks

I'll check out port forward.
