EDIT: Are there any common household cleaners that are safe to use?
 
All of mine have green dots except one that has worn through and is now a frayed hole. It's the top right one as I look at the screen. Its not hot in that corner and well what can I say......... I just don't know. A weak foot maybe. 😕

ya...mine got the green dots i think 2 weeks after i got my macbook. its been on a glass table so...i dont know what its from.
maybe the rubber is actually green underneath? lol
 
Do the rubber feet have a somewhat harder, different-colour core than the gray surface rubber? That could explain the green dots on older MacBooks.

quit possibly, however I purchased my macbook around March and I have the dots as well.. not a bother to me but quit odd that only some are getting them
 
... going to try cleaning it now.

Why? As soon a you set it down on a desk or put it in your lap no one can see the little green dots on the "wear" portion of your computer. I would also think that those little green dots will soon return from whatever type of use your computer sees.
