I have a Macbook Pro, late 2013 retina display, (screen shot of specs -> http://prntscr.com/6t3a7s) and in the center there are 2 dots, side by side, both forming pink on the left, and green on the right. It shows up on dark colors, but not on white. Here are a few images of this. Black Screen- http://prntscr.com/6t3bbs White Screen- http://prntscr.com/6t3bgn Side by Side. White and Black.- http://prntscr.com/6t3blj

I have tried, everything, resetting, leaving my computer off for 3 days, nothing. If any of you guys could help me, it would be amazing. If not, I may just get the top half replaced:( but anyway thank you guys.

Out of warranty? If not, take it to an Apple Store to see whether you might be covered under some undisclosed recall program. At worst, you'll learn the cost for the repair.

The screen appears to be damaged--and in the black background image, there's a tremendous amount of finger-smudging (?) visible. How abused is that Mac? You might want to inspect both the outer case and the screen itself for evidence of how the damage came to be. There's not a software fix for damaged pixels.

If you're out of warranty and adventurous, search the web for "massage pixels" for possible (but always risky) solutions.

Hey i have a similar issue here. I have what appears to be green patches and pixels showing only at a grey or white background. The funny thing is that the green patches and pixels will only appear 10 minutes after the laptop is on. And i dont have my apple warranty anymore..

Do you carry it with things pressing on the screen? That could be it. It will only show up on darker colours since the screen adds colours to a white screen.

The repair is for the whole top clamshell, and it costs $724 Canadian for the 15 inch version.
