Greenish screen with halo effect

My mother just bought her first iPhone, 3GS 8GB I think. When I was helping her to set it up I noticed that the screen looked a bit greener than my screen. When I was chargeing it I saw 2 halo circles about 1.5cm in diameter at the corners of the battery icon. A little bit brighter rings but really noticeble. Looks like when you look at a pictures with to few bits colors settings in your software.

Any advice?
 
Sounds like a faulty screen, If it is obvious and the phone is brand-spanking-new just save your self stress and exchange it.
