Got it to work once, now I can't - I try to run Greenpois0n and it restores the phone rather than jailbreaks it.

Both seem to be working fine.
Mac link doesn't work for me, and as already stated the jailbreak simply doesn't work at all for me (despite working ok earlier this afternoon) :/
Had some some other people try the link and it doesn't work either for them.

I'm on windows (windows version is working fine) so I can't test the mac version I'm afraid.
Explain the exact problem you are having (step by step) and I'm sure someone will be able to help you soon enough.

1) Downloads from Greenpois0n don't work, just get a page loading error after a few seconds
2) using old Greenpois0n downloads, I go through the steps but the phone doesn't jail break, it tries to put the phone into recovery mode 5 seconds into the last step.
Here is the latest one I just downloaded, is it the same version you tried before?
Also did you restore clean before you started the jailbreaking process?
Got the download to work. However, when trying to jailbreak, the apple logo pops up 2-3 seconds into the last step.
I did do a restore clean before. This was working fine this afternoon. :/
Is your mac connected to the internet?
You have to be online while jailbreaking with Greenpois0n.
You are not putting the phone into DFU correctly. It can be a bit tricky for those not used to it but when you have successfully gone into DFU you will have a black screen with nothing on it.
I've been connected to the internet the whole time.
I did it easily without problem last time, I'm just following the instructions. This is so frustrating.
Is the screen turned off, or simply black?
Haha, I thought he meant the last step of the whole process.
I assumed he could get into DFU because he said he had it working earlier, my bad if that's the case.

finally got it, problem was I was going by what I saw on the phone and not by the timer. Thanks for the help! Now hopefully cydia will work this time for me
