Hi all,
I have the new 21.5" iMac 3.06GHz (with Snow Leopard running) and went to turn on my machine as usual and it stops at the loading screen (with the apple symbol along with the normal spinning wheel) but along with a grey loading bar (as you usually see with firmwire updates) that stops not even half way, then clears, stops again at half way and then turns my machine off.
I have reset PRAM and ran disk utility off the installation disk and there seems to be a few errors that I tried to repair but unfortunately had no luck in doing so.
Has anyone else had this problem and why is it that it has occurred? The only problem I have had with my machine lately is that Firefox and Safari continuously crash on me and I've had to boot Firefox into safe mode.
It seems as though I may have to do a re installation but if anyone knows another way around it I'd be much appreciative as I do not want to lose what is on my hard-drive.
Thankyou.
