    Hi,

I just received the ipod touch 8GB today from shipment. Got it register, sync my itune, using the latest version of itune and no update needed on the ipod.

The wifi bar is grey out, saying no wifi detected. I am 100% certain there is wifi signal because i am type this thread through my laptop on wifi access. I have a linksys router.

I tried reset network setting in the general setting area several time, no dice.

I tried reset the ipod itself, no dice

    any suggestion?

That means that the Wi-Fi card in the iPod is not enabled.

I suggest you take it to an Apple Store Genius, and they may enable it/give you another one.

Took it out to the store, they couldn'tfigure it out, so they replace a new one for me. The store manager was nice. Replace it eventhough i purchase it off amazon.com and not at an apple store.

    Working great now.

Now i need to figure out how to use the MP3 as the alarm sound hehe
