hot hot hot

omg yes... i heard they are making a pilot for her own show mmm

very but i have mixed feelings about the spin off. :(
I think I would watch it just for her, even if it turns out to be a pile of &^#@

I sorta like Taye Diggs from Day Break (the guy supposedly starring opposite her?) so maybe it won't be so horrible.

Edit: okay well, after reading into it, the guy I hate most from Prison Break (Kellerman), the guy from the Nine that I thought was cute (Nick) and Syd's friend Francie (from Alias) are going to be in it too..hmm maybe I watch too much tv :(

wowwww today rocked. two cute as hell actors were making out! (well...the cute guy and addison, that is...not george and izzy)

i wonder if addison's coming back to LA or something (why do these places look so much better on TV?!? i must pass by half the filming locations for GA in los angeles in today's ep all the damn time and i swear it does not look that attractive..)

i know there were rumors of an addison spinoff, but if she's not coming back..

It's a fun brain candy show. Took me a few episodes before I realised that the Vet Guy was played by Chris O'Donnell! Can't believe he has a bit of a double chin now. Same cute mouth though.

I recently read that George and Izzy are best friends in real life, that George is a homosexual and that the guy who plays Burke called him a ****** or something and everyone got very angry. Ha.

I'm glad Meredith's mother finally died - annoying woman.

Alex is the best of them all. He has five children in real life. Stud.

They went to a lot of trouble in last night's episode to set up the premise for the spinoff show. Presumably something else is going to happen with Addison before the end of this season (of Grey's) to lead her to the decision to return to L.A.

Grey's is going down the drain

Grey's is HORRIBLE now. I watched since season one and while I was abroad I had to illegally download all of the episodes to keep up (I've since purchased the DVDs of course).

Anyway, this seasonw as crap. Shonda Rhimes has bought into Hollywood, big media, etc. They're only doing a spinoff to create revenue. If you assume people will follow Kate Walsh and they inevitably will, it's a win for ABC.

Honestly, I could are less about money when it comes to TV. I wish people would go back to making GOOD TV. I find that most shows lose their creative edge these days after only a few seasons (look at Desperate Housewives).

Why Grey's is BAD
  • The horrible 3 part arc with NO character development.
  • Meridith drowning? Oh come on! Like we were going to believe for a second that the main character would die. "Without Grey, it would just be anatomy."
  • I hate cheesy, this is what the afterlife is like episodes period where there's a guide, blah blah.
  • What's up with killing good people off? Ellis, now Susan? I liked Susan. George's dad, okay. But seriously.
  • The main characters must all have a bunch of STDs in common. I'm sick and tired of them sleeping around with each other. Seriously.
  • What happened to those awesome just interns being kids/young hanging out seens in the basement? Or at lunch? They're started to finally bring those back, but only in the teaser or in the closer (tequila (?) shots) like last night. That's what made that show different.
  • Agreed, Meridith/Derek is too much like Ross/Rachel
  • Callie and McSteamy have really been sidelined for much of the season or relegated to characters or minimal importance who make appearances now and then and again - for the most part - no character development. Callie's situation has changed, but really haven't seen HER. Mark's only recently shown compassion and that's about it for him.
  • Why the hell would susan be in the FREE clinic? Anybody else find anything wrong with that?

Grey's is no longer good TV. It's just TV now. For me anyway.

Oh man, the Addison spin-off looks terrible. Luckily it was Tivo'd, so me and my girlfriend just skipped those parts.

Why Grey's is BAD

The horrible 3 part arc with NO character development.

Christina's character developed, as did Izzy's, as did Mark and Derek's relationship.

Meridith drowning? Oh come on! Like we were going to believe for a second that the main character would die.

I agree it was predictable, but I think if you're only watching waiting for surprises then you're missing out on a lot.

I hate cheesy, this is what the afterlife is like episodes period where there's a guide, blah blah.

most of your complaints seem to be with that 3 part arc. Just saying.

What's up with killing good people off? Ellis, now Susan? I liked Susan. George's dad, okay. But seriously.

Makes for good drama. Susan was a little unnecessary, but I think both George's dad and Ellis were important plot/character developments. Susan may turn out to be the same, so don't judge it yet.

The main characters must all have a bunch of STDs in common. I'm sick and tired of them sleeping around with each other. Seriously.

Again, good drama. Sex and death are compelling. Also - you complain the show has changed so much, but the sleeping around has always been there and has always been prominently featured.

What happened to those awesome just interns being kids/young hanging out scenes in the basement? Or at lunch? They're started to finally bring those back, but only in the teaser or in the closer (tequila (?) shots) like last night. That's what made that show different.

heh. You complain about no character development, and you also complain when the characters grow up. They still hang out (e.g. studying for the intern exam), but they are more mature now (e.g. the studying is at Burke's place).

Agreed, Meridith/Derek is too much like Ross/Rachel

Because they are on again/off again? That's pretty much the only similarity I see. If that's enough of a similarity for you, I'll bet you really didn't like the second Shakespeare play you read.

Callie and McSteamy have really been sidelined for much of the season or relegated to characters or minimal importance who make appearances now and then and again - for the most part - no character development. Callie's situation has changed, but really haven't seen HER. Mark's only recently shown compassion and that's about it for him.

Right, because they're not main characters... what, you want in-depth treatment of each member of a 10+ person ensemble cast in an hour show?

Why the hell would susan be in the FREE clinic? Anybody else find anything wrong with that?

um... no? She's there because... it's free? And because the doctors are the same doctors as in the hospital? And because she thought all she had was persistent hiccups?

I'm not telling you to like it, but IMO your gripes with it are silly and in many cases, just inaccurate. Of course it's not going to be exactly like season 1, and if it were, you'd complain about that too.

the show has gotten worse thru the seasons but it's still good.

but yesterday's episode was horrible, one of the worst ever. the addision spinoff is not good period. i might even stop watching after watching every episode since the first one. as long as they keep addision and her spinoff off the regular grey's anatomy, it'll be fine.

QCassidy, yeah most of my problems are w/ the 3 part arc. Izzie developed, but was late and chessy. I think it started there. after that, I just didn't like the show anymore.

Ellis' death was important, but I just thought it was cheesy that she went into limbo and helped Meridith return to the world of the living.

Cassie and Mark and Addison even are not main characters, right, but they were on the track to becoming ones possibly. And more importantly they were more interesting than say Izzie who became really boring and whiny IMO after last season's finale.

Yes sleeping around has always been prominently featured but after a while it gets boring.

I'm not watching for surprises. But I'm not watching to see the same old same old week after week either. And I'm not the only one who feels that way. Some tv critics have cmplained in columns/reviews as well - especially after that 3 part arc (yes, I know that was an ABC decision, not Rhimes).

Yes, I know, I suppose I was just being braindead last night..addison looked like she wasn't coming back and driving back to seattle convinced she's not coming back and refused to be talked into coming to LA with the offer of an empty office etc.

I wonder just what will happen that'll convince Addison to come back to LA...or is she just going back to SGH to give the chief her 2 weeks notice?

I love this show, I do... but even I have to admit that I think they've lost some steam this season. I used to laugh more and now? It just seems like it's only drama.

And this week's episode bugged me mainly because they were pushing the spin-off thingie so much.

Well, gotta love the prime time soft porn.

Maybe she will move back in with Drew Carey ... Gotta love her as a blonde in a fat suit.

Yeah, the pushing of the LA spinoff was really lame. Talk about force feeding the audience. They crammed at least 3-4 episodes worth of character development into a single hour (assuming the double header spent an hour in LA and an hour in Seattle).

The last few episodes have been feeling very forced. Like the characters aren't being allowed to naturally evolve anymore and are being artificially placed into contrived situations by the writers/producers. The flow and vibe that the first two seasons had isn't as strong as it used to be.

Lethal

Okay I just finished watching the season finally. Questions:

Will Alex and Eva/Rebecca get together?

Will George quit medical school?

That new intern that George was talking to in the locker room. . . is it the same girl that Dr. Shepherd was talking to in the bar during the previous episode?

Does anyone know when (if) they'll rerun the season finale? I thought they'd play it last night, but they instead debuted an innovative and edgy game show based on Bingo.
