Actually a relief today.

As pointed out several times, just once more so everyone hears it:

If our prank is causing you that much trouble, you can change back to the normal forum look by navigating to the bottom of the page, using the menu box in the lower left corner of the page, and choosing the Mac Rumors Forums 3.5 style.

The main page is always grey and the rest of site goes back to that color if one is not persistently logged in. It's not funny.

I think they changed it a bit from how it looked in this morning. It has more contrast (darker shades) now. Looks better than in the morning.

Ah, but you probably won't have noticed that they stay grey even if you change them... ;)

Probably just using ImageMagick or similar.

...god, this gray theme is awful and the theme select on the bottom left is broken, image > grayscale persists. Good job.....not.

What's different, exactly? I cleared my cache and everything--it's the same all-gray as it always was.

I cannot change the theme either - the April 1 option is the only one available. Not that I mind, but I'm curious why the option to change appears for some and not for others...

dude this gray stuff...not cool...really annoying, seriously macrumors not a good idea

funny thing about changing back to the regular color style...it doesn't work!

This would have been so much more delightfully irritating if it was all bright red.

But honestly, this 'theme' should remain if you've already put the work in. It adds a little class. The standard colors are so cheese.

I think this is doing worse than just hurting my eyes. I suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to cover myself in some sort of gelatinous lubricant and run naked through a funeral!!!
