As a full time shooter who is using 4 Leica cameras among others on a well known photo project, I have to say good job!

But to remind you, Steve said "Like a beautiful old Leica camera". The M8 and M9, eh, not so much. I think this is the kind of Leica Steve is talking about..:)

Once you shoot a roll of tri-x through a leica equipped with a summicron 35 or 50, you'll never look back. Leicas produced the majority of iconic American images of the 20th century. Life magazine, etc. Carl leitz of leica actually invented the 35mm camera.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I saw some of the other images of Leica cameras, and the black image gets washed out rather easily, so I opted for the two-toned look for better contrast. The image is on my home machine and I'm at work, give me a bit to remote in and grab it, then I'll post it for everyone.

I went to the ZAGG site last night and uploaded it as a custom skin - it looks great! $19.99 might be pricey for a single skin, so sign up for the iPad giveaway they have there and you might score a 30-50% discount code.

No problem bro, the 2 tone is actually more of a classic look as it came before black models were offered.

While the black versions did come out a few years after each model launch, the use of them started a long time ago in the Barnack versions. The camera Steve refers to is the very famous M3, voted top gadget of all time, they also came in black, again, rare in this version:

I own one in Chrome but also had a user condition one painted black that shoots about 20+ rolls a week, a real workhorse.

You should try it with the Leica M3. That's more than likely the "old Leica" that Steve was talking about since it pretty much set the bar for every rangefinder camera after it.

That's amazing! I'd love to order a skin with that on it. Will you upload the photo for us??

Suggestions: If you are making a flat paper insert inside the Griffin Reveal case, and have trouble trying to do the holes for the camera and LED flash, I suggest cutting as much out with an Exacto knife, then following through with a standard sharpened #2 pencil that fits perfectly in the camera hole lens to sort of "round" out your cutout. Using the shrinking tip of the pencil, you can do the same for the hole for the LED flash. Alternatively, you can try a hole puncher or similar tools you can find at Home Depot to make circular punches, granted if you can hit the exact spot.

Have fun!

It's going to be interesting in 20 years when someone says something about their product "It's gorgeous. It's like a beautiful old iPhone 4".

Can I make a suggestion? Or request? Can you change the background to black instead of white? This applies to the area around the shutter button...
