On another board I post on someone brought up this question and it's getting pretty heated. Names are being called, families threatened, etc, so I figured why not bring the thread here and see what develops. :)

Preconditions:
Both using white bread.

PB&J consists of ONLY PB&J
Grill cheese consists only of cheese.

A buttery crispy Grilled Cheese sandwich is oh so delicious, but some days i would rather have a chunky PB&J ;)

I love both equally... but i voted for a gril cheese cause' thats what i just made myself...tasty thread:D

Ooh, cheese, no question. I had a cheddar and pickle (Branston, not gherkin) toastie for lunch today. A nice variation is Stilton with some sliced grapes. :)

It's "grilled cheese", not "grill cheese", but yes, it's inherently superior to PB&J, which is frequently yucky.

Grill cheese is amazing, but I don't let myself indulge in it as often as PBJ... Also it's really meant to have a tomato in it, in my world. Although with some tomato soup, I could also be content.

So alas I voted PBJ....

Oh, wait, frack... PBJ on white bread? I don't really eat white. I only eat wheat...hmmm...

Definitely grilled cheese.

I want a toastie now, damn you Lau! (Medium cheddar, ham and beans. yesplease)

Grilled cheese for sure.
I think I'll make myself one here soon:
Baguette, grilled with butter and garlic brushed on it
Comte and Gruyere for the melty cheese part.
Perfection.

I just finished a big bowl of tomato soup and now this thread is making me want some grilled cheese to go with it. :)

I feel oh so lonely, but I'm going to say PB/J.

There isn't enough information - what kind of PB/J/cheese? If both are done right, nothing beats PB/J on warm toast.

Best. Sandwich. Ever.
